Tuesdays Random Thoughts

I've been busy.  Seriously.  Painting and trying to put my house together.  Ya'll, it's been three almost four years since we moved into our house and there are some rooms in this house that needed H.E.L.P.  (Just to remind you, I had two babies in two years so cut me a little slack, k)?!  There has been some major painting and decorating going on.  I will post pictures in a separate post.  What I'm looking at are some vinyl wall decals to go in a couple places, and while searching on ETSY, I found some funny stuff.  So, here ya go.

Grrrr - I tried to insert the links to the etsy shop, but blogger is being weird.  SO - I gotta finish my book for a review/giveaway later this week and another HUGE giveaway in June from a different company if they aren't annoyed with me and given up on me posting it.  I better write an email.  TTYL!!!

Monday Musings

I hope everyone's New Year is off to a great start. We were at the coast for the extended weekend with Baker's family. We had a fun time, all the cousins yelling and running around the house playing together with the occasional fighting or rough housing match. Now, we are home and facing the reality of putting away Christmas.

I have NEVER had my Christmas decor up this late and am trying to find a way to incorporate the soft white lights that I love at Christmas into our everyday decor. For Christmas, I ended up staging a small tree on the countertop in my kitchen. It's my Starbucks tree :) Now I'm thinking I may turn it into a Valentine's tree. The picture doesn't do the tree justice. At least in real life you don't see the strand of lights. It was a magical coffee tree ;)I have some new years resolutions in the making that I'll be sharing with you soon and a giveaway coming up on Wednesday. You won't wanna miss that! Happy Monday!

Hair ya go! (More hair stuff)

I stated a while ago that I would post a picture of my updated haircut. I basically added bangs. Tryin' out Katie Holmes style if you will. I got this wild hair (idea) that I would grow out my hair. This is a cyclical thing. I wear it short. Luv it short. Like the way it looks in pictures short. Then I think I'll grow it out. That is where I am now. Then I grow it out. Bemoaning the uncomfortable grow out stages all the while. Get it long and realize I despise wearing ponytails five out of seven days a week. Look at pictures and realize I don't like the way I look with long hair and then cut it short. And then I instantaneously lose 15 pounds in my face just by cutting my hair! That's when I vow never to wear my hair long again. So, why am I growing my hair out again? Because of Sandra Bullock. Seriously. I went and saw The Proposal. Very cute movie. And the entire movie I sat there thinking . . . if I lost some weight and grew my hair out . . . I could totally look like that. I could ROCK the long hair look. Of course this is all in my head at this point. And in order to lose the 15 extra pounds in my face that long hair adds, that means I would need to be ubber skinny. So that my bloggy friends is why I'm growing out my hair. Sort of. Maybe. Once I lose some weight. Well! It's always good to have a goal. I'm just sayin!

This Little Boy

This little boy dressed himself. Went upstairs with only a pullup on and came down looking like this. Picked out his clothes, put them on - correctly, I might add and put his shoes on the correct feet. OH!!! And we started potty training last week. In three days he only had one minor accident. So the question is, "what am I going to do with all my spare time?" In case you're still wondering, I'll be doing laundry from day four of potty training. HA HA!

♥ The Bachelor Controversy ♥

So, I didn't follow this show all the way through. However, I did watch it occasionally if I was bored and there was nothing better on tv. Last night was the season finale and Jason was "in love" with two ladies at the same time. He chose Melissa over Molly. Then he flip-flopped and chose Molly and broke up with Mellisa (whom he had already proposed too). OUCH. Can you imagine having your mistakes on television for the world to criticize? It's hard to know what is made for television and what is actually real especially in this case. However, I guess that's what happens when you sign up for a reality tv show. Tonight there's another After the Rose one hour special. What else?!

Today is Square Root Day
