Sick Day

I'm so bummed. My computer isn't working. It freezes upon starting up. Not. Good. Therefore, this post is coming to you from Baker's work laptop. It may be awhile before I can post again.
Sick baby girl + sick computer = no fun for mommy. Ha ha!
Hope everyone had a marvelous thanksgiving. Hopefully, I'll be back in business soon with pictures to post, stories to tell, and quite possibly some giveaways.

3 Years Old!

Three years ago, this little boy turned my world upside down and inside out. I'm so glad I get to be his mommy and that God gave me you, Lukey! Happy Birthday Babe!

Good Flick Alert

Baker and I saw this movie on Sunday night. Very clean, great story and it touched our hearts. If you want a good movie to see over the Thanksgiving holiday I highly recommend! Are there any movies you're looking forward to seeing?

Game Day

I'm behind in posting these, but I finally downloaded them off my camera. They were too fun not to post, even if they are late.

My sister and her boyfriend joined us for the game. Good times. Good times.

Baker had multiple layers on, including ski pants over his jeans. No joke. It was a little chilly. I drank one coffee the first half, and another coffee the second half. Just to help me stay warm. Not because it was reasonably priced by any means.

This is my sister and I. I told her not to wear the purple furry headband, but she realizes she's an adult now and doesn't have to listen to her bossy older wiser sister. But, whatever. Still a good picture (because we were walking while taking it). Ignore the goober in the background.

To Infinity and Beyond!

Lately, there's been some preparation going on. Ask Luke when his birthday is and he will show you on the calendar hanging on the wall in the kitchen. It's next week after Thanksgiving. In fact he's been telling his dad and I, and anyone else who will listen that he wants a Buzz Birthday at Chuck E Cheese. Silly boy. He's sooooo excited. By the way, we bribed him with the Chuck E Cheese location. Yes, I'm tellin' ya now. He's been potty trained during the day (even through naps), and wearing pullups only at night. He was staying dry for days on end and we finally were running out of pullups. We told him if he could stay dry for five nights in a row, that he could go to Chuck E Cheese. It worked. Oh, there have been accidents, but we are no longer buying pullups. Hooray! Anyhow, I digressed.

I found these invitations on ebay and the seller was super helpful and fast when I was in a pinch.

What I Like Wednesday

It's been years since I've used or even tried another skin care product other than Mary Kay. When my mother-in-law suggested we get makeovers and try the philosophy products, I was a little nervous. However, I have been wow'd. I REALLY like the purity cleanser. I still like Mary Kay products, but this cleanser is awesome. With Mary Kay cleansers I could wash my face five times and keep getting makeup and dirt off. With the purity, I wash my face once and it's clean. Also, my cheeks use to be extremely red all the time. Now, some of that redness has gone away thanks to the "when hope is not enough" serum. I'll see how long this set last. So far a little bit has gone a long way with this line of skin care. If you have the opportunity and need some skin care assistance . . . you just may wanna add this to your Christmas list!

Thrifty Northwest Mom recently gave away several Disney on Ice four pack of tickets, and I was one of the lucky receipients. Yipee! My mom and I took the kiddos and had a good time. Natalie is still a little wiggly for sitting through a performance, however the snacks and juiced help distract her for a while. Also, it gave me a good idea of where I would like to sit if we decide to take the kids again, and that next year . . . they might be at just the right age to enjoy a whole performance.

My Aching Mouth

I have always been complimented on my smile. Well, okay. Ever since I had my braces removed and my teeth finally straightened out - I've been complimented. A LOT. So it's been quite a while since I've had any dental work done besides my routine cleanings every six months and x-rays every year. I've become accustomed to going to the dentist, having my teeth cleaned and, "see 'ya in six months!"

So, I was quite appalled surprised when last week I went in for my half-year cleaning and found out I had not one, but FOUR cavities! FOUR. Great. Talk about a humbling experience. So, I get to go in two separate times because they didn't want to numb my entire mouth at once, and get my teeth fixed.

Today was the right side. The procedure went smoothly. The right side of my face was numb for four hours. And now, my mouth kinda hurts. What I learned this week? Floss in between your back molars!

Cold and Flu Freebies

A while back I saw a link on a blog for free samples from Boiron the company that makes Oscillococcinum. So, I signed up for the children's sample pack and pretty much forgot all about it. It arrived a couple weeks ago, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that I received three full sized packages of cough syrup, cold pellets, and children's oscillococcinum. They arrived just in time for me to try out the coldcalm and cough medicine. So far no complaints from the little guy. He drank the cough syrup without any protest and was more than happy to take his coldcalm pellets (5 at a time).

I was excited to share this offer with all the mommies out there, but unfortunately the free sample offer has expired. However, you can visit their blog and receive a coupon towards your purchase. This could come in handy this fall and winter. It could be a long one. I also noticed a $2 off coupon for the adult oscillococcinum. I may need to try that one myself.

TGIF

Last Friday Baker had the day off and we celebrated his birthday with a family dinner, arcade games and bowling. This Friday, I'm working with Baker at the family business and my babies are at home with Nana. Things sure change in one week don't they? Here's a couple pics of the fam. I went through all the pictures of the evening and there wasn't one picture of our little family. Uh oh. There were great shots of every.single.person. Except us. Oh well. Live and learn. So, wish me a happy Friday learning how to do paperwork again okay? 'Cause it's been a while. Let's hope this mommy brain can focus for 8 hours.

Halloween in Review

So here's a sneak peak of what the kids were going to dress up for halloween. This was earlier in October when they went to their cousin's birthday/costume party. It ended up being one of the best pictures of both of them in their costumes. Go figure!

We went trick-or-treating with my nephews - Robin and Sir Peter (from the Chronicles of Narnia). Sir Peter was sure to tell each person at every house who he was. It was very cute. And Spiderman was a little confused about the terminology at the beginning of the evening. While everyone else was saying, "trick-or-treat, " he was saying, "Chuck E. Cheese!"
