TUTU CUTE!!!

Fabulous Fun Finds is full of TONS of super cute, fun and fab giveaways. This is seriously one of the cutest tutu's I've ever seen! But then again, I've only been looking at baby girl stuff a short while. (smile). So, if you would like to win this for your neice, or grand-daughter or friend (ahem, Em & Betty . . . I would be more than willing to hand-me-down) please go enter this giveaway! Meanwhile . . . I'm daydreaming of the cutest one year old pictures ever!!!

♥ Flip Flops ♥

Did a little shopping while on holiday at the coast. Found a couple awesome finds for footwear. More specifically flip flops. First while ahem "grocery shopping" at Freddy's I found these awesome Adidas pink/black flippy flops with foam cushion . . . your feet will say "ahhhhh!" Bonus . . . they were half off! Next at the outlet I found these super cute glittery Reef sandals in brown with metallic glitter. SO CUTE. I wanted to find some cute dress-up or down sandals for church and outings. Has anyone found some that they would recommend? Because honestly, those Adidas sandals are COMFY - but not very classy for church.

What's in My Purse Bag?

I know everyone who reads this blog has been wondering . . . what does she carry in that big bag of hers? Okay, maybe not. But my SIL April over at dot. . .dot. . .dot tagged me for this cute purse game. So, I took a picture of my purse before I emptied it, the contents and after I repacked it. Yes. I said re-packed. That's how big it is. No joke. Here's the list:
  • gloss, lipstick
  • pen
  • 2 packs of gum
  • 4 baby toys
  • 2 baby barrettes
  • 2 feminine items, pack of Kleenex, 4 diapers (size 4)
  • 2 coupons
  • 2 wet wipes, 3 shout wipes, 1 package of baby wipes
  • baby Tylenol, sunscreen stick
  • house keys, car key
  • 2 hand sanitizers
  • formula dispenser, rice cereal & dried fruit
  • protein bar, granola bar, fruit snacks & raisins
  • wallet
  • phone

Now, a disclaimer. I only took 3 pieces of garbage out. I shocked myself at how "clean" my bag was. Also, if I'm running errands or going out with the babies, I usually have additional stuff beyond what is listed. For instance I usually carry 2 juice cups, a spoon, jarred baby food and size 6 diapers or pullups, a bib, a bottle, a blanket & occasionally my camera! That my friends, is why I carry a big bag. Two babies, two different sized diapers, two cups, two different stages of food . . . that deserves a big bag.

So Sad

I know I'm a day late in posting this, but did anyone watch Jon & Kate on Monday night? It was so sad and depressing. Yesterday their names were constantly in the back of my mind. Wondering what was going on at this point in their marriage. Where are they at now. Have they completely given up? Are they getting help? And at times a little prayer. God, save their marriage. Don't let it be too late. Ironic. It's only a tv show. Yet, it's someone's sister, aunt, uncle, friend, brother and most importantly, eight little kid's mom and dad. And their lives are forever changing. If they cancelled the show today and were getting help, that would be the best news ever. But, I don't know the whole story and no one does except Jon, Kate and God. And it would be wonderful if the three of them could spend some time with each other.

I also want to point out how UNCOOL it is for family members to bag on each other. Especially publically. And to other people. Seriously. What is the point? Kevin (Kate's brother) and Aunt Jodi have done some interviews. For what? To tell the truth? A very noble concept. However, it comes across like slammin' your fam! If that relationship wasn't damaged enough before, these interviews seem to put a few more nails into the coffin. Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all. That's a life lesson I'm still learning.

I ♥ Hersheys Chocolate

I may or may not have eaten an entire King size box of whoppers this weekend. Apparently Luke likes whoppers too. And . . . I may have had some hershey chocolate on my smores. And a Human Bean coffee. And two minature chocolate donuts. And a cinnamon roll. I just realized why I'm not loosing any weight. whoops.

PS - I'm still playin' with my signature. It's a little smaller. We'll see how this works. Now I kinda like the larger one. Ha!

Life's a Beach

This is where I am spending the extended holiday.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend too!

PS - Thank you for all the comments regarding my puppy.

Big Hugs.

PPS - Whadda 'ya think about my new signature? Too big? Too bright? Too slanted? Or maybe it's okay? I'm open to objective suggestions :)

An Empty Space

It's been about a week and I haven't shared this yet, but . . . one of our dogs died last week. Baker had a dog (Summer) when we got married and she is now 12 years old and in perfect health. Hunter was 7 years old and he was our dog. We got him on July 4th about 5 months after we got married. He was the perfect dog. He was a collie, australian shephard mix and had one blue eye and one brown eye. He was mellow, gentle, loved to run, enjoyed his sleep (he snored like crazy), and he was my puppy. Why we called him puppy, probably because babies and puppies are totally separate. I know some folks call their dogs their babies but I couldn't do it. He was a dog not a person. But if we called him puppy then he was still my "baby puppy." Sounds silly, but we always called him puppy and referred to the dogs as the puppies. Anyhow, we left for the beach on Friday before Mother's Day weekend and on Thursday he was running around and playing with Baker & Luke. I asked my brother to watch our dogs for us and we left for the beach. Sunday afternoon we got some text messages and calls telling us Hunter didn't look good and could hardly walk. We shrugged it off as him missing us. But when we got home he could barely walk, his ears were back and he could hardly move. Something was definately wrong. He went to the vet on Monday afternoon and was given an antibiotic shot and two different types of meds to treat a bacterial infection. By Wednesday he was worse and not walking. Baker had to pick him up to take him outside. He went to the vet again on Thursday afternoon and when he got there he started vomiting and pooping blood. He got sent to emergency where they couldn't diagnose what was going on but decided he needed a blood transfusion because he was bleeding internally. Even with the blood transfusion the vet wasn't sure he would make it. So . . . he was put down. In one week he went from running and playing to not moving or eating. We weren't ready for this to happen. So this last weekend the house was bigger. The yard and garage more spacious. Summer found his harness sitting on top of the kennel and pulled it down, sniffed it and layed next to it. Luke asked, "where is he?" "Puppy, cum on!" As for Baker and I . . . we cried.

If I Only Had A Brain!

Today was busy. Very busy. Each kid went to the doctors. Different doctors, different times, different sides of town and guess what? Both are fine. Great. Seventy dollars less in the bank account and my kids are normal. HA! So, it's suddenly a jammed packed week. We are leaving for the beach again on Thursday night and I'm having a play date Wednesday which leaves tomorrow to accomplish too many things. Hmmmm . . . I'm gonna have to cut some stuff out. But I'm sitting on Facebook talking to a dear friend about scones for our brunch playdate and suddenly realize I haven't cleaned out the cupboard that mouse #2 ran around in. GASP! I seriously have another thing to do before Wednesday morning. Not that people will be rummaging through my kitchen cabinets, but gross. I HAVE to get that done. How could I forget to clean out that cabinet? I miss my brain.

BTW - I got my hair cut. Maybe I'll post a picture sometime. But that means I need makeup on. Soon bloggy friends.

Casual Friday

I saw this and busted up laughing. If you haven't seen The Office, then this may not be funny to you. Or if you don't like crude humor then you might not wanna watch this. But, it is kinda funny. Just sayin.

Human Bean

I'm a dork. I know it. But, look at the sunshine, the cute pink sweatshirt and the fact that I indeed am a great endorsement for The Human Bean. BTW, if you have the opportunity to try their coffee, then I highly suggest their signature drink, Human Bean Supreme (it's made with chocolate milk). Yum. sigh. Then you might wanna jog a couple extra miles. I digress. Maybe someday I should open one of these little coffee huts. THAT would rock.

8 Months

This post is a little late, but Miss Nattie J is 8 months! It's crazy how fast the time has flown by. She's wanting to be more independant every day. She wants to drink out of a sippy cup, hold her own bottle to feed herself, she gets up on her knees, she rolls and scooches across a room and she is trying to pull herself up. She hates to be left out and will remind you that she wants to be included. She loves people and wants to be apart of all conversations and activities. Last week she started babbling saying, bababa and mama. Sunday morning (mother's day) I awoke to mama, mama, mama. She has also recently learned to put her hands above her head to be picked up or when I say, "So Big!" Our baby is quickly becoming a little girl!!!

Gotcha!

Well, little Stuart's relative was apprehended on Monday morning sometime between 6:30-9am. I wonder why little mice are active then? Hmmm. We caught him in the same drawer as poor Stu. Last night Baker's dad and brother showed up to find out where these creatures were coming in and found that one of our outside house vents was wide open. The screen mesh had been completely pushed aside. So, with the hole fixed hopefully this will be the last of my mouse adventures. Seriously hope so. As a precaution we are watching the same drawer for a couple days before we put new liner in the drawer & return the dis-infected silverware to it's rightful place. On a more serious note, one of our dogs got sick while we were at the beach this weekend. We came home to a very subdued dog with his ears back and barely moving. Turns out he has a possible bacterial infection and has been put on two types of medication. If it does not end up being an infection, the other possibilities are kidney or liver failure. Poor dog is only 7 years old. We are praying for a speedy recovery.

Second Time Around

Stu's relative came to visit. Same drawer and cupboard as Stu took up residence in. Now mind you this is after having my house cleaned from top to bottom last MONDAY. That's right. It has only been a little over a week, and we have another mouse. In the house. The horrible thing is after having my drawers and cabinets disinfected and re-lined with new drawer paper/lining, I moved my silverware. From the left side of the sink to the right side of the sink. Wanna know what drawer Stu's relative likes? THE RIGHT SIDE. Same as Stu. I have to rewash ALL my silverware. And rewash ALL my kitchen towels. ugh. This is not the kind of present I wanted for Mother's Day. BTW, my house was built in 2006. Not 1906. You would think this wouldn't be a problem. Just wonderin' if anyone cares to admit to ever having to deal with mice & how did you get rid of them for good?

If you haven't seen this site yet . . . OH. MY. Remember playing with Barbies when you were little and dressing them up? Okay, I didn't have Barbies, but I played with my friends. And you dressed and re-dressed your Barbie - over, and over and over again? And it was FUN? Well, this is like picking out your dream outfits, jewelry, shoes, bags and even Starbucks drinks! Can you say, goodbye housework?! What have I accomplished today? Ummmmm . . . nothing. But I look great! Well, on the web at least. In real life . . . I'm wearing warmups and a hooded sweatshirt. Oh well. A girl can dream.

Etc. . . Etc . . . Etc. . .

Okay ladies. Couple housecleaning things. Giveaway ends tonight at midnight. You have three chances to win. Comment, follow or blog about it. 'Nuf said. As for Stuart Little. He was apprehended somewhere between 6:30 am (when Baker left for work) and 8am when I went to the dentist on Wednesday morning. That means he was up and around when I was. shiver. At least we were on separate floors. Baker's mom found him. Isn't that awful and hilarious all at once? I told her not to look in a particular drawer because there were so many mouse tracks. Apparently curiosity got the better of her. The surprise was on her because she found little Stu. Anyhow the kitchen was left until I came home from the beach (which was completely beautiful and sunshiny). None of Stu's friends showed up during that time, so we hope it is safe to wash and return our kitchen to an organized and tidy state. Today, my house is being spring cleaned by a professional thanks to Baker's mama. Isn't she the bestest mother-in-law? I might just need to release a little Stu every season or so to guarantee a clean house. Kidding. Sort-of. Thanks mom!
